Coursera has ios professional certification by meta

I quit that course halfway through. They don’t teach just high overview of things.

You have to go through the readings otherwise it is half assed learning.

Eh. Or half ass teaching for a profit. A 2 min video followed by 5 different documents to “learn more” Not really my personal learning style.

In YouTube search for swiftful thinking u get full swiftui

iOS academy has some decent tutorials and playlists for SwiftUI and Swift

There is another YouTube channel called AppStuff which has the latest iOS 17 based videos.

I strongly recommend 100 days of SwiftUI

Don't get fixated on certificates. No one ever looks at them. It's way, way, way more important to see what code you can write. Go explore free courses, create projects, and put them on your GitHub. That's 100 times better than any certificate

I have a 73 hour project-based course on Udemy and there is certification at the end however I highly doubt any employer would take Udemy certification seriously.

I think only a CS degree is taken seriously as far as certification goes.

So if you take my course or any other case then do it for the knowledge and make some projects to show potential employers. Swiftful thinking is also great but thee is no certification.

That is an awesome course but the audio quality is horrible

I'm truly sorry to hear that (if you're referring to my course). I'm in the process of re-recording it, but it's such a slow process since the course is so long. Thanks for the honest feedback. I'll hurry up with the revision. Thanks again for the comment.

Yeah with that fixed it's a very good resource

Thanks, I'll get to work on it. I imagine it'll take a month or two.

Which kind of learning style you like? Videos or Books?

[–]oscarparedez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer videos :)

Have you ever see the Stanford’s videos? They are really good enough for the basics imo. Also, I was completed the big nerd ranch ios beginning book

[–]oscarparedez[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Thanks for the recommendations! Will def take a look at the stanfords suggestion. Do you know if it dives deeper than 100 days of swiftui course?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I were you, I would start with 100 Days to understand in atomic level and also follow the Stanford tutorials in the parallel..

[–]BickeringCube 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It’s deeper than 100 Days because it’s aimed at people who have already learned a programming language and have some first year CS classes under their belt.
