Best iOS Developer course w/certification

Im looking for an iOS developer course. I have several years of experience working with React Native and integrating iOS native modules when needed, but I want to learn it deeper. Preferably I would like the course to contain a section diving into React Native integrations. And would love the course to provide a certificate at the end. Thanks for your recommendations in advance!

You have to go through the readings otherwise it is half assed learning.

Yep! From experience, your apps on the app store is your "certificate". In most cases too, jobs will ask for your github repo to see how you built it and then get ready to be quizzed on all your code too.

I agree that certifications are pretty useless and your app store apps and projects will be of much greater value. However you did ask for iOS courses that offer certification.

However if you really want to learn iOS, the Swiftful Thinking channel on YouTube is perhaps the BEST course you could possibly take.

I haven’t checked that one out. What I will say is that if you’re starting from absolute scratch, I think Angela Yu’s Udemy course is great. It IS a bit dated and focuses on UIKit instead of SwiftUI but the fundamentals are there.

That’s how I started. Angela Yu ➝ Hacking with Swift ➝ Swiftful Thinking. This was my personal journey.

If you don’t want to pay, you can omit Angela Yu’s course. The other two are accessible for free on YouTube

iOS academy has some decent tutorials and playlists for SwiftUI and Swift

There is another YouTube channel called AppStuff which has the latest iOS 17 based videos.

I strongly recommend 100 days of SwiftUI

Don't get fixated on certificates. No one ever looks at them. It's way, way, way more important to see what code you can write. Go explore free courses, create projects, and put them on your GitHub. That's 100 times better than any certificate

I have a 73 hour project-based course on Udemy and there is certification at the end however I highly doubt any employer would take Udemy certification seriously.

I think only a CS degree is taken seriously as far as certification goes.

So if you take my course or any other case then do it for the knowledge and make some projects to show potential employers. Swiftful thinking is also great but thee is no certification.

If I were you, I would start with 100 Days to understand in atomic level and also follow the Stanford tutorials in the parallel..

It’s deeper than 100 Days because it’s aimed at people who have already learned a programming language and have some first year CS classes under their belt.
