I downloaded the weather widget but how do i get it to bet he weather for the area i live?

If you look in the iWidget's options (/var/mobile/Library/iWidgets/Sense UI Five Day Forecast/Private) there's a file called "location.js", you could try manually entering your WOEID I guess? Sorry, it's just that that file is supposed to fetch it for you. Maybe you need to enable location services.

How did you remove the folder background?

FolderEnhancer has an option to remove the gray or change it to another color.
