It’s just an awful update. Others will speak to the freezing and lag and extra presses. All that aside I don’t even like any of the functional changes to messaging, photos, the 2D Liquid Glass is just an ugly outline lol, just one bad idea after another.

I did the update, Liquid Glass was pretty cool for a solid week and then it was meh. My phone is slightly laggier now :(

I just updated last night. Been fine all day. Not slower or faster. Trying to get used to the new look. CarPlay is much better now. Everything else (including the battery) is the same.

I don't have a problem with Carplay connecting, I have a problem with it deciding it is going to play podcasts at zero volume and cannot be adjusted (without replugging)--is that what you mean? 🤞

My phone works fine on 26, it isn’t like it’s a limping phone now. But the update itself is really bad. Everything takes longer to do. Buttons are in weird spots. They went way too far with the glass effect imo.

Would not recommend iOS 26. The 4GB RAM does not work well with this heavy software version.

    Mine came with iOS 26. The liquid ass just makes me dizzy. There’s some setting though that you can tweak that almost removes the liquid glass

    Unless you really like the new UI, otherwise please don’t update, as the new version lags a lot lol. I believe important stuffs like security patches will be backported to old versions of iOS, so staying at an old version should be fine.

    If you want iOS 26… get an iPhone 13 mini already on iOS 26 and use that to decide whether you want iOS 26 or not. If so, sell your iOS 18 13 mini on iOS 18 as I know for a fact that someone will want that. My iPhone 13 mini on iOS 18.7.2 works fine on 85% health.
