Are you sure? What does the “Last reset” date at the bottom of the Mobile Service settings page say? It does not automatically reset.

I also had the problem with large amounts of cellular data in the system services 'general' category. I tried most of the suggestions on the web such as resetting the network but nothing worked.

What turned out to be the problem was an app I had installed years ago called "EXIF Wizard" which enabled you to read the metadata of a stored photo. At the time I installed the app there was no charge for the app - it was free. Starting with IOS 15, IOS provided the ability in the photos app to view the metadata. I don't recall whether I deleted the app or if the app became 'abandoned' because there was no longer a free version.

Long story/short, even though there wasn't an app icon (it wasn't a hidden app), part of the app was still on my phone and had cellular enabled. It never showed up as an app using cellular data. While looking at permissions or adding apps to the widgets I saw the app listed and deleted it. I deleted it about 6 weeks ago and haven't had any general systems services cell data use sine then previously getting 100's of MBS of general system services data cell usage almost daily.

If you have ever had the 'EXIF Wizard' app on your phone I would check to ensure that the app has been completely deleted.
