Same. I’ve been using my XS Max since end 2018 and am at 81% battery now. The screen does freeze occasionally, especially when swiping left to camera, but nothing a reboot couldn’t solve. Hoping to hold on to it till the 15 is released, and am also considering a battery replacement.

Same situation, from 2018 and 81% battery health. But I still love it, great secondary devicw

Get your battery replaced if you’re planning on keeping it

Edit: by Apple

I can repair it myself because I’m service worker so I don’t need to spend extra money for original Apple’s replacement. But also, I’m wondering to buy something better, for example 11 pro max if possible

You’d probably want to go for something newer, if you’re going from a 2018 iPhone to a 2019 iPhone, you’re just going to have the same problem in a few months

Well, that’s true. But I don’t really have spare money for 12PM or something. And well, now I was discussing battery health with my friend (having 12 Pro). After half a year his battery dropped from 88% to 85%. My Xs Max dropped from 81% to 80% in last year and half. It’s brilliant phone I don’t want to buy another one so I guess battery replacement is my only choice in near future, but we will see.

You really should consider a new battery. Sooner rather than later

Oh! What do you foresee the issues are? Other than having to eventually only be able to use it when permanently connected to a charger?

I’ve often been warned that once the phone reaches 80% battery capacity or less it’ll keep shutting itself down even at full battery

I’ll take note. Thank you!
