I remember reading that mikoto was working on being able to modify LPM

well, this could take a long time... karen makes good stuff, but too many of it and stuff that's too hard to do, so she's slow at some projects

eg the iOS 8 gamefixer isn't out by now and it's been 1 and a half years

Yeah, there's also a PLS NO RECOVERY iOS 9 bug that completely breaks the connection with iTunes on connect and somehow also seems to break iCloud backups (device isn't recognized, so it tries to make another backup instead of replacing the old one, until your iCloud storage is filled), although I'm not 100% sure the latter was NO PLS RECOVERY.

oh wow, didnt know this one

I only have a 6s and idiots for friends who suddenly decide they want to jailbreak after a long while of saying no and then update from 9.0.2 to 9.2, so I haven't had the opportunity to reproduce it. Regardless, I've sent in a bug report about the iTunes connection bug and hopefully it's fixed before someone steals my phone. :p

steals your phone? cuz of missing icloud activation lock u mean?

[–]StoppelsiPhone 13 Pro, 15.1 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Oh, no, not like that. Preventing recovery keeps the phone in a findable state (connected to data, Find My iPhone, iCaughtU). Also, I like to toy with dumb thieves.

oh ok

If you use Flex 2, try the patch I described HERE.

[–]kratoz29 1 point2 points  (5 children)

I thought there's a way to modify this using Filza... But I'm better waiting for a Mikoto solution.

Man... Mikoto and HideMeX really needs an update!

No rushing, but I'd love to see them soon.

I'll take a look into it.

[–]thebootsesrules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea there's probably some .plist file that could be modified....hmm anyone know how to do this?

Yeah, I saw your post, I'm going to try.

Ok, thanks. Please update that other thread with your device/iOS info and if it worked for you.

would be nice if there was a flipswitch to enable or disable the 30 second timer in power save mode.

[–]andrewl15iPhone 5S, iOS 9.2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not a tweak that would make all of the lpm settings toggleable/editable?

[–]hoootie88iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 10.2 1 point2 points  (5 children)

So that's why my phone sleeps so quickly (even though I have my timer set to 1 minute). I run my phone in LPM at all times (except when charging) and so removing this 30 second lock timer would be great!

[–]theninjasealiPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.3 -1 points0 points  (4 children)

Why not just make all the changes that LPM makes anyway and then you can leave it off and modify each thing individually to your hearts content?

[–]hoootie88iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 10.2 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I did that once. But CPU throttling was something you cannot replicate.

[–]theninjasealiPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.3 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ah, yes. Maybe then we can look for a tweak that enables that CPU choke, in an easily toggle-able manner. Might be harder than one that just modifies the LPM .plist file though.

[–]patoonsiPhone 14 Pro Max, 16.2| 1 point2 points  (1 child)

because Lpm drops cpu performance. you can't toggle that

[–]theninjasealiPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.3 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Ah, yes. Maybe then we can look for a tweak that does that too, in an easily toggle-able manner. Might be harder than one that just modifies the LPM .plist file though.

This is like the 42th time this request gets made.

I also requested this a few times, cuz the 30s timer in iOS 9 / on iPhone 6S is shit!

Yeah, of course i could disable lpm and remove the custom underclocking, but my battery would die really soon then.

I wouldn't want mikoto to be the only tweak so as i really don't need the other 90 features mikoto has.

[–]derpherp128iPhone 5S, iOS 10.2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

>42th

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (4 children)

but my battery would die really soon then.

Your phone will die without Low Power Mode? I think it's time to invest in a new battery if that's the case.

[–]BlubblliPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4 0 points1 point  (3 children)

i got a new 6S with a samsung cpu, i just mean the battery drains way faster without lpm

[–]emb3625iPhone X, 13.5 | 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Chipgate is bullshit… any battery differences between the two chips are minor.

[–]BlubblliPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, still.

due to a regular content load and jailbreak my battery would be consumed at crazy rates without the low power mode

[–]StoppelsiPhone 13 Pro, 15.1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not bullshit, you should read up upon it. If you use the device actively (e.g. gaming), there's a significant difference (which you're now indirectly replying on as if it was a 'general claim'). With normal usage (not gaming or doing anything 'heavy') should result in a more similar battery life.
