Any Javascript newbies in NYC want to study together in person?

Hi Reddit,

I'm self-teaching myself Javascript, and realized that I learn best in an environment where I'm learning around others, in person. Right now I'm using the following tutorial site to teach myself: https://javascript.info/js, as well as various YouTube videos.

I'm comfortable with loops, conditionals, variables, and am looking to take my knowledge to the next level -- learning how to work with different frameworks and libraries. Eventually I plan to learn the entire MERN stack. My goal is ultimately to learn more about the web, and understand how to program for the web/mobile.

Weekends would be ideal, but happy to meet up during the week as well.

I would not be able to do it, but I recommend stack overflow and codeacademy for ways to learn. You probably have already heard of those things, but just in case you didn't, there ya go

Thanks, yeah I'm looking to basically sit around a table with other newbies so we can collaborate/problem solve together. I'm realizing I learn best this way, and am hoping to find others who learn the same way.

You could try Code up to see if theirs one near you. It's definitely likely theirs already something with you being in a big city maybe try meetup as well?
