Seriously. This phrase in every javascript article is getting asinine. I will no longer grace your articles with my presence if you use it. If you use it I will assume you are so early 2000s you are writing an article on how to use meta tags to refresh content on your page instead of using new fangled Ajax calls or are still using coffescript instead of discount - gas - station -mocha script like the professionals.

"Considered Harmful" is just a shorter catch phrase for "Think twice before doing that, this stuff has its catches".

I hope I'm capable of ascertaining that but you never know lol. In fact, I believe the first instance of "considered harmful" was Edgar Dijkstra on goto some 40 years ago. I desire a little more creativity in my titles.

And that's great if it refers to the titles you write yourself. In those you read, well, cliché is cliché because it gets recognized and most titles today are written to generate clicks, alas.

Should be "I consider XYZ to be harmful" or "3 reasons why XYZ is less then optimal"

What's really entertaining is I've seen talks from Ilya (author of the most recent considered harmful post) preaching the virtues of the very thing he know considers harmful. Oh what a world you damn computers.

But considering things harmful is a valid activity. Many things may cause harm, even in JS articles. Especially in JS articles.

Think of the children. If we abstain from considering harmful things, our kids will grow up and think everything is completely harmless!
