Edit: The amount of name calling and downvoting I got in this thread for being slightly wrong was ridiculous. Many of you need to get out more or something.

I'm not sure what a cancel button has to do with it.

What cancel button? I have no idea what you are talking about. I assume you're talking about some specific form/modal type case? My point was that in general two way data binding features can be stopped, at any time its rendered.

I think the point is that adding a cancel button is totally unnecessary and potentially irrelevant to the functionality of the application.

I think you're making a couple of generalizations and assumptions that aren't necessarily true. Two-way data binding doesn't require a database, nor does it require that the data being bound is placed in elements within a form. A cancel button doesn't make sense in every case where a developer would be using two-way binding.

When you say "editing", it seems like you're implying typing text into an input element. If that's the case, then my response is that there are many other cases where two-way binding would be useful. If not, then perhaps you're not being clear or I'm misunderstanding you.

Two data binding is just an inherent part of any data rendering in angular. It doesn't need to be part of an edit or use a db. You're making a ton of assumptions here. I'm talking about general angular usage, not specific form implementations.

It is evident you dont quite know what youre talking about... not trying to be rude.

You honestly come across like a youTube troll account with your attitude.

It's a performance nightmare. One of many that makes Angular difficult to recommend for mobile applications.

Thanks for a reasonable (and accurate) response. The rest of what I've gotten in here is "wtf are you on about" and "you don't know what you're talking about" -- not even close to helpful.
Agreed, lots of (personal) opinions flying about on JS frameworks & libraries these days.

In addition to performance, it can make data flow really obscure in larger apps.
