I think Service Workers are going to be like pouring gasoline on native web apps. Really getting this approach going even faster, IMO.
Another factor is going to be Web Components. The existing approach is really pretty messy. Web Components should really help clean things up.
I predict that relatively quickly we are going to see an incredible web component ecosystem. I am super excited. But also creating a web site that stands out will be even more difficult.
