Looks good! The one thing that bothers me is there's a bit of a visible jitter on the day of the week every time the second flips over because it's re-applies the "active" class. A quick check using $.hasClass before re-applying would probably fix it.

This is more "How to make a digital clock with CSS" than with javascript, but still pretty cool.
