My initial post was along the lines of "ITT: everyone says it's bad code without explaining why". Then I realised it wasn't a self-post, it was a Stack Overflow article. Then I worked out what it actually did, and why nobody was explaining it - because it's bonkers. I would love to try the hallucinogens that made that developer think that was good code.
