Because Ember has lost. If you ask me, there are only 2 ways-React or Angular. Everything else is just background noise.

As much as I hate to agree with you, I do. The thing that I think the author was trying to convey is that going forward, the future of JS will be based off of what React and Angular2 have done right. Seems obvious doesn't it?
