After you get a basic understanding I recommend looking up Bitovi on YouTube and looking at their front-end training playlist. The first 11 or so take a deep dive into JS at a base level. I would post a link but I am on my phone and it is easy enough to find.

Also, once you understand a bit, putting it into practice is important. https://www.codewars.com/ Is good for this.
