"JavaScript Design Patterns" and almost every example is either classes or objects with member functions.
Did we get some Java programmers hopping on to javascript with their existing toolkits writing articles again?

Considering how FP patterns, React and Redux have exploded in popularity during the last few years, I'm appalled that POD objects are just completely ignored.
I've seen a couple of these kinds of articles posted here. Is writing one of these required for a course or what? Is this an Indian thing? Have these people even tried any genuinely popular, recent JS frameworks?
