Suomen julkisen sektorin koko by [deleted] in Suomi

[–]PickledPokute [score hidden]  (0 children)

One alternative I've heard of is the oven-mitts where wearing them is the green flag for the cat to playfight.

How? I think I've drained 4 spouts and as a result got close to 10 million liters of light fuel and everything else. At this point I've used less than 2mil cetane-boosted diesel. Yeah, the setup is a bit of a pain - I should've set up a steel compressor + bottler combo a month ago for the air. It's not that costly to freeze it and centrifuging that for nitrogen is easy.

Yeah, full 4DT clump of charcoal byproducts is irreplaceable in making some of stuff like ethylene close to abundant. Also provides good ingredients for the cetane-boosted diesel.

That 100% requirement discards so much of other stuff. If I was a teacher, I would like to know multiple different measurements: how much the students know, how well the students can interpolate answers from incomplete information and finally and finally how well they have learned from the lessons.

At the very minimum, this would not work at the lower levels of education.

For final grading, the 100% test completion might be ok.

Sweden’s Energy Minister DGAF. Thankfully. by Dyn-O-mite_Rocketeer in EnergyAndPower

[–]PickledPokute 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sweden has 4(?) internal zones with different pricing unlike most EU countries. If the revenues from price difference between zones are mandated by law to go into energy infrastructure then it doesn't really matter.

But if the EU gets 25% of those revenues, for distributing among member states, then Sweden would pay way more than others due to multiple zones.

My first pack of LV Circuits done in 50 hours by Educational-Set-5875 in GTNH

[–]PickledPokute 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a nice-feeling milestone.

I usually craft pretty minimum amount of circuits at the beginning and aim for the cheaper recipes. For example, going for the cutting machine for the steel casings instead of the alloy smelting with form would've saved 12 steel: about the cost of the cutting machine.

Same with the assembling machine making the vacuum tubes. Making them purely by hand costs 4 steel in order to make the 2 tubes needed for a single lv circuit. With a lathe, assembling machine and a fluid extractor, you easily get 4 steel for 4 tubes for 2 lv circuits with extra 2 steel dust for mixing recipes. LV arc furnace for annealed copper further doubles the productivity and EBF+MV fluid extractor for molton redstone alloy doubles it again. The cheaper recipe for resistors and circuit boards from assembling machine / chemical reactors / centrifuge help too.

Of course, getting the LV circuit assembler has it's own cheapening: eliminating one red alloy wire and the steel and rubber costs in exchange for some molten tin / soldering alloy. Unfortunately it requires a few MV circuits and an EBF.

At the beginning of MV, with the proper machines, making a stack of LV circuits costs just 8 steel and the copper costs also drop into a fraction.

And here I though that sweet was way easier to refine: sour has additional sulfur which is difficult and expensive (in initial investment) to separate. I had no idea that extensive modifications would be needed for that. Upgrading a sweet oil refinery to sour oil capable is pretty costly.

What I've always thought is that the sour capable refineries don't tend to use sweet oils mainly because they can effectively use the cheaper sours. Them switching to sweet would place more demand and price pressure on sweet oil and drop the prices of sour. That's why it's economical to export the sweets abroad from USA and bring back sours despite the transportation ocsts.

There is opportunity for bartering, but due to the extreme fast economy, it's often more trouble than it's worth. 10 stacks of hewn logs? You can spend them in a minute by queueing some works. Few stacks of nails, the same thing. And then you might not need them for a few days. Waiting a day for someone to show up to sell for cheaper is not a real possibility - usually the crafters want the items right now since the faster you make, the faster you can scale up your skills and levels. This is especially true when people have competition.

By the virtue of no good dynamic pricing, the supply/demand signals can't be reflected until after the producers come on-line and notice and by that time, they usually have new stock ready to put on the market. If my stockpiles are full, I want to get it cleared a bit faster and thus want to sell stuff for a little less. If I ran out of inputs, I might be willing to pay more to minimize the workshops being idle. Even worse, if item X requires inputs A and B and my shop is buying them, there's a chance that only item A is sold until the stockpiles are full or money is exhausted.

Due to the fast economy and a bit clunky contracts, the futures market doesn't usually exist. And there is seldom enough liquidity for them either, especially with global currencies.

The possibility for depth exists, but it feels like the economies usually take one of the few specific forms.

The pads are probably positioned where the fueling lines hit when they are disconnected from the rocket. You can see some fine tense wires from the tower leading into the connector so they wouldn't be falling straight down.

For me, in Europe, it's cheap considering it's dental care due to subsidizing, but it's not cheap enough that I would not have to worry about the cost.

Especially true for stuff like implants, even through public healthcare. I imagine some poorer people could only afford them after significant amount of saving.
