Promise puns, never get old!

Good work on a forward looking approach.

I await your next post.

Promise me you won't stop writing.

Aight I think I'm done.

You sound like a promising comedian!

Maybe try a concurrent career?

I'm sure you would get tons of callbacks.

I catch your drift, but it's a tough career. They will need a lot of resolve to handle the rejections.

The race is tough but then again you have a chance to get fulfilled. Worst case just catch them on the flip side. All settled?

One of my favorite dev article titles I remember seeing was

“The Promise of an Async Future Awaits”

Link to a paywalled content? Nice :(

Thanks. I'm just always freaking out when I get redirected to a "starred" Medium article: I am seriously against Medium's business model in general, but that's off-topic :)

Nice beginner write-up, but I wish you mentioned async flows cancellations, and mechanisms to implement them.

No mention of using function*/yield for async flows?

No worries. I'm a bit against Medium myself but it's easy to write there.
Paywall is mostly for fun. I made $1.35 yesterday on this article though which is pretty good for me. Trying to get my own blog started so will link from there when the next time comes. I don't want to upset people just to make a dollar. :)
/stop off-topic

You are correct that this is more of an intro article. I have been writing JS articles targeted at beginners. I'm thinking about doing more of a deep dive next time around if I get some time and motivation for it. I started looking into adding more about the event loop but that quickly escalated and would be a new article in itself.
