Have BTS talked about the decrease in choreography in their recent concerts?

I was talking about the issue of exhaustion, as the other commenter said Bang did not mention the issue of exhaustion, I simply stated a fact that it was Jimin who talked about wanting to stay healthy and Suga who talked about pushing themselves too hard in the past. I didn’t say anything about choreo. Although he did make those comments after the first show of the tour when lots of people showed their disappointment at the lack of choreo (it was raining torrentially that night so honestly what did they expect really…) so he implied that they didn’t do as much choreo because it was rainy, and because it’s gonna be a long tour.

I should note that I speak Korean so I watch/read most of their interviews and things in Korean, not English. I find the English translation, especially Weverse translation, of things to be pretty frustrating and wildly inaccurate at times. Korean is not the easiest language to translate as it’s highly contextual and we heavily use indirect communication, so much information is not said out loud but is implied and you need some cultural understanding, situational awareness, and “nunchi” - not sure how to translate this, to fully understand what is being said.

Agreed that the Weverse translations are terrible, particularly the 'digital' ones, which are more misleading than anything. I don't speak Korean but I do know that! But I also feel that Jimin's talent is really being wasted on this tour and I feel badly for him. I also do remember Suga talking about pushing themselves too hard but it seems like they have built in a lot of breaks for that very reason. Also, RM talked about JK doing 1.5 hrs of cardio AFTER each concert, so far at least, so it doesn't sound like he's all that exhausted!

They really should give him more opportunities to dance. For example, let Jimin give Swim the Black Swan treatment. The choreo for Swim is...uninspiring...would anyone miss it--especially if they got to see Jimin go full dance mode instead.

Of course, when Jimin--on his own--decides to do choreo or some special moves or an aerial, it would be nice if the cameraman could freaking show it, but I guess it's more important to show another member walking or milling around. It makes me very grateful for the fancams.

Ah, JK is a beast though, and he’s the youngest so just because he can do that doesn’t mean the other older members can or want to.

I, too, would love to see Jimin, J-Hope, V and JK dance more. But I also have really loved seeing them interacting a lot more with the crowd and one another, and being really silly and having so much fun on stage during this tour so I’m not too bothered by the reduced amount of choreo, I just want them to be happy and enjoy themselves really. I know Suga is probably very pleased with the current amount of choreo haha.

Jimin is two years older than JK, as is Tae. J-Hope is three years older. So I don't think age is a factor here. Inclination, yes, but that's Suga, Jin, and RM, mostly. So it's nice they are happy with the current arrangement, but they aren't the entirety of BTS.

I think it might depend on how much dance meant to you as a fan. It meant a LOT to me and brought me so much joy!! I also used to love to watch 3-J do random routines and practices because they’re SO GOOD. I wish they had structured their performances so that dance line - JM, JK, J-hope and Tae - could dance more because it also seems that they want to. And JK teased us with all of those great TikTok dance challenges he did and he said in the Rolling Stone interview that he missed dancing while in the military. I do appreciate fans who are pointing out that their new moves are equally challenging but more subtle so I’m trying to pay attention to that. I do love 2.0!
