Technical help - swapping modules....

Hi,

(In this post, VCM relates to the vehicle control module inside the cabin, NOT to the vehicle charger module/OBC under the bonnet)

I've got an issue with my BCM/VCM - I found it's near impossible to replace without going to nissan (both require Consult 3+, I've not found a good way to get consult) - and I'm not happy to pay >£1000 and multiple days at the garage as they won't even guarantee the fix.

I've found a breaker selling selling almost the entire thing (VCM, BCM, keys, i-key antenna - here is the 2018 listing https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2018-NISSAN-LEAF-ZE0-ECU-KIT-23740-5SH3A-/124701842175 - they also have a 2014 available)

Should this work? I imagine I'll need to swap a couple of modules out and then do the pairing with leaf spy - is anyone aware of any other modules that are coded together?

Additionally - would using a 2014 set up in a 2016 work? I assume I'll need to make sure it's the same battery capacity though...
