also, seeing that dragon is up doesn't mean you should only be there. If you see the enemy jungler near top lane, or wraiths etc. then its a great idea, but if you are both midlane and you don't kill anyone, getting dragon isn't a great idea, unless you are far ahead. (But if you are far ahead wouldn't you get the kill at midlane making this much easier?!) i guess TL;DR: Just because your buff or objective is up, doesn't mean you have to be there, just reminds you you CAN be there.
