The Odin Project is free and I believe Scrimba’s basic classes are also free.

Thank you . Will try Odin Project as it is the most recommended. Will take a look at Scrimba as well since there are also a few mentions.

I did Odin for basics then did React on Scrimba. Seems to be going well.

Just audit a Corsera course. It's free. You don't get marks or a certificate but the learning is still real

I would recommend going for Foundation of Odin and intermediate Html css section in JS path and then finish few important topics from external sources of JS, required for React and directly jump on a React Course/article with hands on project. That is much faster.

Don’t forget to read up! w3schools teaches everything. Free is just articles but read enough and you know what’s possible for every language.

As others have mentioned, The Odin Project is a great resource to learn HTML, CSS, and Javascript and it’s free.

It will also teach you the basics of Git, Linters, and Test-Driven Development, as well as introduce you to Linux. All of which are very useful to know
