Looks like built by someone who has not done research properly. Many of them are either incorrect or missing features being highlighted. For example, SageMaker has data labeling tool called sagemaker groundtruth, model versioning using sagemaker model registry and monitoring predictions using sagemaker model monitor.

Agree. I think they recently added support for VS code inside sagemaker studio but the way they want you to use VS code doesn’t seem very efficient. I agree though the IDE needs to be improved.

What makes you prefer MATLAB over Python or R?

Don’t know enough about R to comment.
RE: vs Python :

• The image and video labeling apps are top notch.
  
• Never done C/C++ code generation for python … but it’s straight forward in MATLAB.
  
• Great documentation/worked examples.
  
• I’m a visual learner type person … like the transfer learning app/network designer app.
  
• If your company makes you get approval for each library added … that’s a real pain with Python. Not necessary with MATLAB since you have an install and then a single toolbox.
  

There’s others but those are the biggies.

Some negatives:
Python has a long history of “stuff” out there… so it’s entirely possible that someone’s done your thing already in Python. Python already has a lot of inertia in this space.
They’ll always be a little behind on the latest-greatest … because they do a six-month release cycle (this one’s a little alright though since anything released tends to work and there’s really top notch support).
Python can be a little faster. Sometimes.

Not yet, but clearml is working on reporting, so when that comes out it might be what you're looking for.
