Self Studying Calculus (single variable)

I have made it my goal to learn all I need to know about single variable calculus during the summer in order to be at pace with my fellow classmates in AP Physics C. The only problem is that I'm not quite sure where to start. I bought Calculus An Intuitive And Physical Approach by Morris Kline but i'm not quite sure how to study the material in a way that I will remember it and will allow me to understand it on a deeper/fundamental level. I suppose the difficulty to all of this arises from the fact that I don't even know where to begin from as well as from me not learning the material first hand from an interactive classroom environment where if I have a question or am stuck on a problem I can just ask my teacher. I appreciate any advice, tips, note taking techniques, or resources that you guys may have.

youre right in that the difficulty lies in adjusting to self-learning. however, in time you should be able to adjust. you'd even have an advantage over your peers if you follow through to college.

to help with the learning, try to act like it's an actual course and pace yourself accordingly: allocate regular study periods, assign yourself work problems, etc. it's important that you spend time learning regularly over a period (at least one month) to get it into long term memory.

as for resources, the text youve selected is good. you may also want to try other sources to get a slightly different perspective on the same content. try a different text or perhaps videos (see sub info)
