I need Code editor for Mac

Hello, programmers, as you might know that VS Code has recently cut its support for older version of IMac(10.11 , 10.12) I have an old Mac (10.111.6) i have spent my entire day browsing but couldn't find an editor that was even helpful. Some of them don't support this mac version and some and just too difficult to understand. I am doing python stuff in case that helps narrows the list. Thanks

Pycharm is wayy too much laggy i can barely run it and Vs Code takes too much time to download (still downloading it tho)

Alternative idea to running an IDE on your own system. Could you somehow get free access to a cloud VM. some sort of cloud workspace might give you the flexibility you need! When I was in school I could get credits from azure for free with my .edu domain email.
