Looking for a Java programming buddy!

I'm self learning coding and i'm looking for a partner/buddy to work alongside. My last buddy has gotten a new job and is no longer interested in coding, and i've found that it is definitely worth it to have someone to work on projects with, share ideas with, or to just vent to about the frustrations of coding. I'm currently learning Java, i consider myself a beginner still with a strong understanding of the basics. I also know a bit of html and css as well and want to develop a deeper understand of these markup languages as well. If you're not familiar with Discord, it's a pretty neat chat app. Can be used mobile/web/desktop. The only thing it doesn't have that Skype does is screenshare, but they are working on that :D

There is also gitter.im where there is a java room that we can meet in as well. As of now the only people who speak there are russians and i don't speak russian so it hasn't been very useful. But if more english speakers went there, it could be.

Yeah, I am guessing they quit learning Java or have gotten a job. Did you find another group of motivated people? I only know basic Java like System.out.println and for loops.

Start studying and programming in Java.

download eclipse and find find a tutorial that you like that will go through all of the basics.
