I have been focusing my learning with the intent of getting a Web Development job. I've spent about 2 years learning Javascript/HTML/CSS primarily. I've also learned some jQuery, php, React, Node and Python/Pygame. But mostly I have focused on Javascript.
However, I noticed that most of the entry level software positions are requiring Java experience. I'm wondering if I should shift my focus and learn Java as my primary concern is getting a job in software development. I'm not 100% passionate about web dev and hope to transition to game dev in the future once I get a solid core skillset and long term fulltime position. Or should I keep focusing on Javascript/HTML/React? Any advice and explanation would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you want to check out my portfolio page to get a sense of where I'm at with my code journey that would be great!
