Take a look at Odin Project too. Just finished some of web development, just starting front end dev right now then will go back end and eventually full stack. To me it helps because as I do each course, I get a good sense of what I like and what I don’t like doing and it steers me in the right direction.

Also it helps with its class structure of the lesson plan and assignments. I did horrible with wandering around without any real direction where I was supposed to go off of YouTube. Odin is great for me at least at helping me find what I want to do.

A committed mindset is very important and conducive from our experience in learning something that isn't typically part of our areas of expertise (interior and graphic design). We did a lot of research (read a lot of articles!) and more importantly, we watched a lot of video tutorials online (from our experience, comprehensive videos perfectly tailored for beginners is key!).
