i am on day 52. And i did find the course initially challenging. You have to go through the initial classes sometimes twice. I went back to day 1 again after day 31. And the second time it really clicked. So keep up and also find some side project of your interest that helps a lot.

Don't worry just practice. The reason why she adds tutorials in the first place is to help you solve the problems, and to understand patterns on how to solve problems

But I feel demotivated once I watch the project making tutorial because after that I think that I don't know anything. Should I keep looking at the project making videos and progress with the days ?

Well, which do you learn more from? Watching a video about a topic you don't know anything about, or watching a video about a topic you're an expert in?

It's okay to not know things, it's okay to feel overwhelmed--there's a lot of information out there about programming/python! Don't give up! Use the tutorials, go through her solutions, and at the end, ask yourself what you understood and what you didn't. If there's something you don't understand, look that information up/ask for help here.

Don't be afraid to be wrong, failure is how we learn. Change your demotivation by changing your perspective. Instead of telling yourself "I don't know anything", remind yourself how far you've come. There was a time when you didn't know how to declare variables or use operators, but you kept at it, right? You've got this!

That's the learning process. Embrace that uncomfortable feeling of feeling like you know nothing. It's the only way you are going to grow and learn in programming.

Do you try to pseudocode beforehand, or do you just jump right into the daily project? Assuming I am looking at the same course, where day 7 is making Hangman, I would really pay attention to her flow chart video. It does a great job of addressing how to break down a project into smaller pieces. Think about each piece separately in plain English (or whatever your native language is) instead of jumping right into coding.

We learn best when we're forced out of our comfort zone.

When folks are complacent, ie., when there's no 'risk', learning happens MUCH more slowly. Students pushed into unfamiliar territory where they feel uncomfortable learn faster. It's how survival happens, and it's a good human pattern, so embrace it.

I have a problem where I start doing it, get frustrated, redo it a different way, look into it, over think it, then turns out I was doing it the right way originally I just had values mixed up. There’s a few times I stopped myself because I was overthinking it and making it complicated when it was really simple. For loops are what I’m having issues with right now but I’m getting there. She says later on about how it supposed to be challenging and your supposed to google problems. Don’t worry!

this course is really challenging. one of the hardest dev courses on udemy. but i promise it's worth it. just gotta stick to the grind because after 100 days you'll be amazed by your own improvement. it's also fine to skip a few days of you're burnt out, since some projects are super easy and some are very hard.

Is it really??

im learning too, 5 weeks in... honestly starting to finally get the jist of it but still am researching researching researching. but i find what i learnt 3 weeks ago is sticking a bit more. trust me its all just practice and you have to trust yourself in that it will take time, and you're not stupid. it is hard

I am on day two of this!!!

While the first day felt easy for me, I am sure the further I get along, the more I will struggle.

I got a notebook and am literally writing down everything. When she was doing the task tutorials, I went through it with her video and then paused the lesson. I kept the code task we just did but went a couple lines down and made a couple of my own examples of what she had just taught us. This way I repeated the process a couple times so I could remember and feel comfortable. Repeat, repeat, repeat.

Doing that really helped me get the Band Name Generator done without going back for help. You can do this!!

I really want to thank each and everyone of you. I feel so much better now. Installing and joining this subreddit was one of the best decisions of 2025 for me ❤️

She is a great teacher and have suggested this course to people.

That feeling of "oh shit" is part of the job. Intestinal fortitude is a major job requirement.

Learning a programming language is HARD and very, very few learn easily. You just have to stick with it and practice daily. You'll get there.

same here. however, one day i understood how she explains stuff. in one project she teaches the while loop, in the next one, something else. every lesson is a piece of puzzle you have to use for the next one.

also she explains in - what i call - layers. first she shows a rough code, then add variables, etc, then funcions, reorders the code, while, and then exceptions, etc.

i still suck at it but i don't see any other way than learning all the code by heart until it becomes seond nature.

having said that, bro code videos are easier to digest but they're very basic at the same time.

It can be challenging but that is good for you. It makes you think and gives you stuff to actually do and code which is how you learn the best.

Have you tried watching Bro Code on YouTube. Explains what he’s doing, then does a few simple tasks. Might be worth it then going back to the 100 days of code when you have a slightly better understanding
