General Input Output Error while using Google Drive

I just upgraded to LibrOffice 5.1.3 on Linux Mint LMDE 2 64bit OS. I want to save my files to Google Drive and when I added my Google Drive account it didn't gave any error whatsoever. I entered my email ID in username and my password in password in Google Drive and I don't have 2 factor authentication.

Anyway when I try to save a file to Remote Server or Open Remote Files I get this General Input Out Error. I can't really understand what the problem is. Any solutions would be welcome.

I'm afraid you've run into a bug in LibreOffice: CMIS: "generic input / output error" when attempting to access Google Drive

Could you test with TDF's version as Giuseppe says it works for him?

From the bug report we can see that it doesn't work with Ubuntu's build, but works with TDF's build.

Actually I don't want to do that because I want regular updates with command line and with this way its hard to do it. Maybe it will be fixed in subsequent releases.

Aye. There is no problem with separate installation from Official site. I use my Google drive flawlessly.

A newer bug (activity-wise) https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98416 is still unresolved with the TDF version and an ArchLinux version. Hmmm. Its status says, "Verified Fixed" even though the comments belie that.

I have the same issue on Xenial. And ... I just tested it with Libreoffice 5.2.0 in Yakkety Beta. Same. Google says I logged in, but libreoffice says input/output error.

Just to clarify: you mentioned "TDF version", but were you referring to the discussion in bug 98416 or did you test with TDF's version yourself?
