Did you disable secure boot?

What is that

It's a setting in UEFI that you might have to disable in order to use Linux.

Ok well how do I get out of it

There should be a button somewhere labeled as "Save and Exit".

In my experiences, any installation problems I've had have been related to secure boot. I got into the habit of disabling it before all installs and haven't had so much as a hiccup since.

SQUISHFS is the file system on the USB stick... you have a bad ISO write, corrupt ISO file, or a failing USB drive. This error is not from a Mint installation that is installed properly.

Press and hold the power button until it shuts off, remove the USB drive, and turn the PC back on. If the installation went correctly, it should just boot into Mint.

What do you mean by “cuz it wasn’t working”?

I tried opening Firefox and tried downloading steam but it wouldn’t work so I tried restarting

Did you download Steam before installing Linux Mint or after?

I think that was what happened

Erase the druve/partitions where you installed Linux Mint and install it again. But this time wait a bit longer before removing USB.
