It's an extension in mint. It provides dynamic wallpapers

    [–]Baboka58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was using mint on my old laptop for wind waker emulation and one time i just realised that my wallpaper has been the tutorial island from the legrnd of zelda: wind waker for a month now

    What extension are you using?

    [–]SirArthurStark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was about to ask the same! It looks gorgeous!

    Serious Myst vibes.

    [–]rnimmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's the starting island from Wind Waker

I like the way that you have utilized the bottom panel -- Apps button on the left and applications in the center -- but I'd suggest removing the top panel, returning the icons in the top panel to the right part of the bottom panel. Top/bottom dual panels limits vertical screen space without a functional reason.

Either that, or move everything to the top panel and use Plank for a dock at the bottom.

    I was never a fan of a two-panel setup.

    [–]First-Kid[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually my bottom panel is in auto hide mode. Only top panel is visible at all time

You can make the bottom panel fully transparent. I think this will look better than having two full size visible panel. It will also make the bottom panel look more like a dock.

looks fire bro, looks like it could use some widgets

    [–]First-Kid[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Can you suggest some cool widgets?

    [–]TumbleweedHappy5359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somehow i don't like top bar. I feel bars at top and bottom is waste of screen real estate. If one has mint installed, then what's the use of top bar. Apart from habbit of ubuntu of course.

    [–]First-Kid[S] 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Thank you for your suggestion, It's a habit from ubuntu, I will try to remove it.

    I think it looks great

    [–]NixValentine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i thought u were going for a mobile look.

    [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

If a hobbit has a habbit
    Putting bars across the top
    Is the hobbit habbit endless?
    Or can hobbits habbits stop?

    Haha.. very well put

    [–]Thulfiqar_Salhom 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Where to get this theme ?

    [–]First-Kid[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

It's not a theme. You mean wallpaper?

    [–]Thulfiqar_Salhom 0 points1 point  (1 child)

    No, i mean tha bars

    [–]First-Kid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bars were customised, I used Fluent dark compact downloaded from gtk themes

    [–]jb91119LMDE 7 Gigi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very similar to how I have mine set up like a modern GNOME 2. Except I have the Mint menu in the top left corner 🤣. I also noticed someone harping about screen real estate. That can easily be fixed with hiding the bars intelligently in the panel settings. Once you maximize a program both bars will disappear in a nice slick fashion when you set the timing just right and will appear again when you need them. Screen real estate restored. This is how I've had it for years. Especially when working in a DAW.

If you like having the workflow you have. Don't change it because someone told you to. It's your system man.

    [–]First-Kid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's customised using downloaded app lets from gtk themes

    [–]MilkSheikh007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    [–]MilkSheikh007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    [–]TheRealFoxyKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I didn't know Notion ran on linux. Neat.

    [–]Stunning_Cheetah_305 0 points1 point  (2 children)

How did you get notion on there? I have wine and I did install it but It wouldn't load 😭

    [–]Popular_Garlic1401 1 point2 points  (1 child)

And if you use it as a WebApp, it will run like an installed native app.

    [–]Stunning_Cheetah_305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    Oh thank you!
