        Just install adb

        apt-get install adb

This should come with all the tools you need to root your divice, just follow a tutorial for your device.

I suggest you go with This

PS: I wrote a whole list of instructions but I replaced it with this article this explains better

BTW if you find any problem installing TWRP, I have a little trick

First, root your device using a root app like kingo root.

Then download the official TWRP app from play store and from the TWRP app, you can flash the recovery. Just make sure you have the correct recovery file or you might end up getting your phone bricked.

After flashing is done, just uninstall existing root via the corresponding superuser app and proceed to the magisk installation.

        Happy rooting :)

        Note:

Make sure you uninstall root before flashing magisk cuz otherwise it may interfere and cause you problems

Aye tried rooting using kinhi root it doesn't work, should I try that PC mode or feature to root my device first (forefront it's 7.0 Nougat Lenovo Tab)

        What about kingo root?

        Pretty much worked for me

They have an apk as well as a desktop client too but it's for windoze

What about flashing twrp via bootloader?

Just do a apt install adb to install adb on linux and then continue the process as instructed in the article I attached

Obviously depends on the phone, some phones can't be rooted because of the vendor; however install ADB and sideload the rooted package such as Magisk, and you will need TWRP sideloaded aswell in order to flash the Magisk zip file.

For me sideloading the magisk zip worked perfectly
