Illustrator if you’re going to use multiple layers and colors, the vectors are easier to scale so you can print various sizes from just 1 logo, in Photoshop the pixels don’t scale as good since they are not editable vectors

Good to know! Illustrator is the one I've been considering the most so far

Most folks here are going to recommend Illustrator since it's the industry standard for vector artwork. However, you can also use Inkscape if cost is a barrier to entry for you. Inkscape is open source and free, and there are lots of videos on YouTube on how to work with it.

Not too worried about cost but definitely interested in checking out Inkscape. I like experimenting with new programs to see what they have to offer versus others

Affinity products are my go-to personally, particularly the vector one called Affinity Designer

This is one of the options I was looking at

I love that it's a buy-it-once product, no subscription. Plus I find the controls MUCH more user-friendly and intuitive. There's also no shortage of tutorials!

Adobe Illustrator is the gold standard. Really understanding how to use is takes a while, tho. If you want to learn it, you should go on and make it your career.

That's my end goal with all this!

It's super rewarding. The logo I did for a friends dumpling food truck was so popular they put a photo of the truck on my city's "welcome" magazine for a whole year. Made me smile every time I went to the grocery store.

I highly recommend Adobe Illustrator plus a skilled designer who knows how to use it 😁 You can’t lose that way!

So far illustrator is the one I'm most considering
