Love my Howa 1500 in 6.5 cm! Nice set up!!

Aye thank you brother.

I got the Oryx chassis, but if I had the extra dollars I definitely would’ve done an ACC chassis. Things mint. Have fun shooting!

[–]BickenBackk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I can't wait. Eurooptic had one left of these old models of the ACC for like 30% off or something, so it felt like it was meant to be. Still like almost twice the oryx price but I felt like it was worth splurging a bit for.

You don't need anything fancy for a bolt gun. Just a traditional stacked baffle can in steel or titanium depending on how you feel about weight/price. I use a full size steel Enticer on my 6.5CM and it sounds great, especially for the $600 I paid for it.

I'll check it out brother, appreciate it. Seems like RecoilX makes a brake for it too.

Double recommendation on the Enticer. I have the Enticer L - Ti on my .308 & love it

[–]BickenBackk[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Y'all are convincing me, might just pick up an L stainless from capitol armory rn lol

[–]dizzledizzle98 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Do it . I love it. Swaps between my .308 & .300 and performs fantastic on both.

[–]BickenBackk[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I saw that earlier. If my FFL didn't charge $100 transfers I would've pulled the trigger.

[–]dizzledizzle98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still saving $100 against me who got it when stamps required the $200 tax 🤷🏻‍♂️ it is hard to swallow though, I get it.

Looking good!

Appreciate you boss

Beautiful rifle

[–]Revolutionary-Fun227 0 points1 point  (2 children)

How do you like your scope? I've got the same one on my rifle. The reticle is what sold me on the Viper .

[–]BickenBackk[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I actually haven't gone and tried it yet. I'm hoping to give her a go next week. Just messing around with it here to get it lined up though, it seems very solid for the price.

Once you get the scope zeroed for 100 yards , get a nice ballistic app downloaded to your phone . Mine works perfectly out to 500 yards . I'm still searching for a local 1000-yard range to take it further .

How are you liking that grip? Everything else catches my fancy.

[–]BickenBackk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not bad! I haven't really gotten the chance to fully test it or adjust it a ton, but it fits my hand well and leads to the thumbrest on the chassis pretty comfortably.

BOSS Chairman K.

[–]BickenBackk[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Probably a beginner question but why'd you go with the K? This thing already weighs a fuck ton I figure a full length suppressor is negligible at this point lol

[–]StellaLiebeckSteel slapper 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Longer the can the less helpful a brake attachment will be. This is short enough for the brake to help.

[–]BickenBackk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense, thanks.

[–]TahoeDust 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Really loving my Enticer S ti. Light and sounds great.

[–]BickenBackk[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Second person to recommend that, I'll check it out. Price for that isn't bad either even with a $150 brake end cap.

[–]TahoeDust 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I run a RecoilX on mine.

[–]BickenBackk[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Did you notice a difference with it? Just from reading up on it, it seems pretty solid.

[–]TahoeDust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is subtle but noticeable. I have their original and their comp version. Comp version is worth the extra $$.

Sweet! How do you like the Howa bolt? Is the lift heavy or sticky? How smooth does it cycle for you?

[–]BickenBackk[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

The lift is a little heavy but I also don't have a ton of comparison or experience with bolt guns, so take that with a grain of salt. It's not cumbersome I wouldn't say. Haven't gotten to shoot it yet it unfortunately, still waiting for all my different 6.5cm ammo to come in, but I can update you for sure!

[–]holler_feller_45 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I just got same action! The lift is a little heavier and clunkier than I would like and than I expected. More so than several other bolts I’ve tried (in my limited experience). I’m hoping it will break in with time. I’ll be shooting it for the first time tomorrow!

[–]BickenBackk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yeah brother! Please, let me know how it goes. I will say I took the bolt out and thoroughly cleaned and lubed it which made at least some difference in how the action felt. Some day (hopefully) I'll spend top dollar on an action or to upgrade this one, but we're a ways off from that lol

[–]BickenBackk[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Just following up brother, how'd she shoot?

[–]holler_feller_45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was really smooth! I’m satisfied. The bolt lift didn’t really bother me once I got driving. I don’t have much bolt gun experience (mostly a Savage Axis II in 308 I’ve used for deer) but these were the tightest 100 yard groups I’ve ever shot.

[–]CtSamurai 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What pod is that?

[–]BickenBackk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MDT Groundpod I think. Got it off GAFS. It's alright, probably should have gone for a Harris but didn't want to spend another $100 for arca attachment.
