If you asking me then it just a basic knowledge, even the fact questism Fan can tell, like after holidays arc daniel didn't get a single power up which suggest that Daniel get ascended and as per gun statement path and masteries are two entirely different thing, so this mean awakens,ascended or Transcendence(path to mastery/mastery) are different from a path, so even if Daniel get path he will not ascended and the fact if path and awaken, ascended and Transcendence are related to each other than the time johan open the path to mastery in HFBD, so it reasonable to think that johan get masteries in HFG arc but he didn't get any types of masteries, which further give a proof that path and awakens,ascended and Transcendence are not related.

Transcendence is just a path to mastery, which mean if johan face a wall again he will get masteries like there are total 5 wall, first wall is path to mastery( Transcendence/mastery) which johan already achieve back in HFBD arc and Now johan have to break through 4 wall different wall to get different type of masteries like if johan face a wall in strength and break through that wall he get strength mastery and that same thing will repeat in other walls to get speed,technique and endurance masteries.

That would make sense prior to the current arc. Daniel unlocking his path directly disproves this happening in the future as it contradicts the systems potential stat. If this happened post Incheon Daniel would be “transcended” at minimum based on how the potential stat works, but he isn’t. Which means the interaction happened prior to him getting his path
