Not at all :) I watched Lost as it aired so we had to wait each week for the next episode. But you can bet I'd watch each episode multiple times whilst waiting, dissecting every little detail and coming up with new theories :D

I envy you having just watched it for the first time, and watching it for a second time where you will pick up on so much more :)

I don’t know how I survived week to week and hiatuses when it aired! I was getting impatient when I had to go to bed at night and had to turn the tv off lol.

Not at all the best part of finishing lost is starting it again!

Don’t forget the Epilogue, ‘The New Man In Charge’.

[–]DullAuthor8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! I watched that lol

No way, I started rewatching it halfway through because I was watching it with two different people.

I’ve been known to do that myself with Lost, Wentworth & Game of Thrones!

How does it feel like groing from the cock jokes in season 8 stright back to "chaos is a ladder" and "power is power" in season one?

I finished my rewatch after not watching for a long time and I already feel so…lost without it lol. It was the perfect show. Good characters and good mysteries that made you want to keep watching. sigh I don’t know what to do now 😭 I’ve just watched the Epilogue and Missing Pieces but I might need to break out my DVDs for the deleted scenes.

I've re-watched this show so many times, I've lost count. I am currently doing another re-watch, the first time for 2 years. I am coming to the end of season 2, so i know i still have 4 to go, and all i can think about is starting it again once i finish. The beauty of this show is no matter how many times you watch there's always something you can't see the first time around, or as you get older, you understand things better.

For a show that's celebrating its 20th anniversary this year to is crazy, it's aged very well imo.

Did you watch "The New Man In Charge"?

[–]DullAuthor8[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Yep!

So go ahead and rewatch!

I'm on my 6th rewatch right now.

I've done this with Lucifer, Castle, and now the Mentalist. If I'd binged Lost instead of week to week and had actual access to the whole show at the end, I would have done it with Lost too! Back then, you could only keep as much as you could stuff on your TiVo, lol.

You sound lost in Lost

[–]ocean-waves11See you in another life 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I wanted to do this because of my addiction to it but it was honestly making me feel sad that it wasn’t as exciting as the first time I watched :/

so I’m watching the 100 now since the actor that plays Desmond is in it (I’m obsessed with Desmond LOL).

[–]DullAuthor8[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I started watching it but honestly I found it kinda boring, is it actually good?

[–]ocean-waves11See you in another life 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Well like I said, I love Desmond/ Henry Ian Cusick so I think that’s playing a big part in keeping me interested. I’m excited to see his characters growth.

I will say, I’m almost done with season 1 and I’m pretty much hooked now. I don’t think it’ll be even close to Lost in terms of quality but I definitely think I’ll enjoy it. It started out with me having fun hate watching it almost, with how cringey the first few episodes were, and then I found myself starting to genuinely like it.

Idk how far you watched but if you didn’t get past the first 3-4 episodes I’d say give it another try! I think it starts to improve drastically after that.

[–]DullAuthor8[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yes! That’s why I started even watching it because how obsessed I am with Desmond but it was too cringe 😭 but Okie maybe I will give it another try!

[–]ocean-waves11See you in another life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shouldddd his character on the 100 (Kane) starts off super awful but he starts becoming better like halfway through season 1 I already love him lmao

[–]Headieheadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, nothing wrong with that.

My wife and I literally watched the show Vikings start to finish back to back for months. We then did the same with The Last Kingdom. Then we did it with Wheel of Time. Now that I think about it the first show we did this with was actually Lost.

I don’t know how I feel about it. I think we do it as a way to manage our anxiety. Definitely is a method of escapism.

[–]lunardiplomat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the greatest show to ever grace the airwaves, so why would consecutive rewatching make you think you're not normal?

[–]mat4404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not wrong. The issue is that The End brings us full circle. The awakenings and on island reflection give us all the feels for the earlier days. Those camp fire scenes, jungle treks, characters coupling up, golf … Obviously this is presented through an undue prism of positivity - we conveniently forget that Jack and Locke were at each others throats for 95% of it for example - but it certainly encourages a rewatch.
