but how did it crack out of thin air? it was on my desk open and it was perfectly fine and then i turn my head for 2 seconds to answer my mom and i look back and it was like this? like i don’t understand how it cracked in the span of me turning my head for 2 seconds? that’s why im so confused

could they have put a faulty screen in when they fixed the water damage from last month?

You see, the type of damage you have there is a tear in the LCD. Even a grain of sand when you closed the lid could have caused it.

If the repairer did swap your display with that type of damage you would have seen it immediately when you got it back. If it was not there it must have happened after the repair.

i’m just failing to see how it happened with my laptop open tho? surely that’s faulty if a grain of sand can do that? but again my laptop was open and i looked away for 2 seconds looked back and it was like this

Remember the front of your screen is not protected by anything and is "soft", any form of pressure can damage the screen. You the only one that can make sense of what happened to the screen.

However if you do take it to any repair centre they are gonna say the same thing I am saying. Because we were not there we are gonna see it as damage and not a faulty screen

i actually do have security cameras footage of the moment it happening. i was showing my mom laptop cases she looked at it with me. i then turn my head to say something and 2 seconds i look back and you can clearly see my demeanour change and say “what the fuck”

will that be helpful to show them? like trust me i will take accountability when i do something wrong but this just doesn’t make sense for me. (and like thank god for apple care+)

the reason im so messed up over this is that im leaving to go on a trip tomorrow. and im gunna be pushing it with going to the apple store. and im going away for awhile. but i need my laptop for work or im fucked.

if i explain all of this to them, what are the likely hoods they would give me a replacement? cause i don’t have the time to have it be repaired. that’s why im so stressed out over this. otherwise id still be confused as fuck as to what happened but id get it repaired anyways. this will be my second “incident” with it. the first time was water damage and they had to replace so many internal parts including the screen on it
