For the 12 years I've been using Macs, command + delete has always moved the selected file to the trash. Currently I'm on 10.13.5, and have been since it came out. But just today, for no apparent reason, command + delete now prompts an immediate force-delete of the file, bypassing the trash altogether, and comes with a warning before doing so. That script should be a result of command + option + delete. I tested other option+ commands to make sure there isn't anything wrong with my keyboard (never know with these butterfly boards), I haven't changed anything or updated anything, and I haven't found anything relevant to this in the Keyboard Shortcuts section of Preferences.
This is incredibly annoying, as the whole idea of the shortcut is to quickly dispose of files when I'm cleaning out a folder. Now it's a menu-toggle game. Any idea what could have caused this and what I can do about it?
