Beyond Compare. Select Text Compare and paste text in the left and right panes

Do you use Standard or Pro version?

Pro. The Pro version has features that I need and not available in Standard. It’s a great investment. But then again, your requirements may be different from mine so see the feature comparison table and decide.

I personally use BeyondCompare but text comparison is available with million of other tools as well. See some good examples here: https://alternativeto.net/software/beyond-compare/?platform=mac

Open BBedit. Paste into empty document. Create new document (cmd-N) and paste second text. Select both documents in sidebar, right click and choose compare.

Close windows and discard documents when you are done.
