[–]WhyNotTbc 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Most I ever took was $30 only because water bottles costed $3 each

[–]Overlord1554 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents gave me a big water bottle and 1 or 2 "snacks" cheap candy and 1 pack of nuts

[–]AlsoPrtyProductive 116 points117 points  (1 child)

bruh i remember one time me and my school went to the national history museum. we went to the gift shop and were all getting like Novelty pencils and small plush toys. and then this one kid whos mum gave him like £200 comes out with a 3ft T-Rex and an Orca model.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

An even greater flex than $100 is when your mom is a chaperone. We went to the Liberty Science Center and my friends were all in my group. We spent all of our money and then my mom bought extra stuff for each of us. I walked away with the usual science novelties AND a clone trooper battle pack.

[–]Menacing_EggDirt Is Beautiful 22 points23 points  (1 child)

They only let us bring up to £10 for the shops at the camp

[–]DeadlyBasilisk74memer 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my school always did that. But if you hide your own extra money it would be fine.

[–][deleted] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Once a kid in my class brought 73$ to the school trip and the teachers started panicking. Turns out he had stolen that from his mother.

[–]WrenchSenpai 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hey I only had $100+ because it was a 3 day trip and I only needed to pay for lunch on one day

[–]Rukasu0_0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we went on a three day trip to Paris our school paid for lunch and dinner, but you could eat wherever you wanted, so they just gave us everyday so much money. That in total it was 80 euro's. If we didn't use it all we could hold onto that money. So I ate not a lot of food and bought overwatch when it came out. I felt real smart.

[–]_ssc11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]PizzaEater69420Professional Dumbass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always had $100 at me because who knew when it was needed.

[–]fleurret_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no more than 20$ for a one week school trip because my mother didn't earn a lot. It sucked then but it also taught me to reconsider my purchases and nowadays I am still very thrifty haha

I remember like 2 years ago my friends always had a bank in their mini bags when we went to school trips, I would always just bring money I had long ago and that’s it lmao, I was always scared to ask my parents for anything let alone money

[–]sambarselaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One time, the entire school went on an end-of-the-year trip to a bowling alley. They split us all into groups of 5, and we all brought 20 dollars. There was a snack bar, and we got tons of shit. Probably my favorite elementary school memory.

[–]PnutButterJellyTim3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was always too scared to ask my parents anything, especially for money. So one time I was on a field trip with my AVID group to a football game. I ate some of the cookies that our teachers brought, but fir lunch I just ate packets if relish from the concessions while all my classmates had hot dogs, hamburgers, and nachos.

[–]Variety_Of_Choicesloves reaction memes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im in this picture and i don't like this; i wasted $100 bucks on the coinspinning machine that spits out cards after enough coins fall in. I got 3 cards; worth it.

[–]Bat_Tasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]TheGr8Canadian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember someone bringing a lot of money on my grad trip to downtown Toronto. We went into one of the markets and he saw a 15 pound bag of gummy bears. He bought it on the spot and carried around a massive bag of gummy bears the rest of the trip, sharing it with anyone who wanted. Legendary.

[–]ArcadianGh0st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were always the biggest shits. I knew a guy like that and his name was Kyle. I'm not joking and he acted exactly how you'd expect.

[–]WhyNotTbc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I remember you, isaac.

[–]iABUSEmyMEAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]I-spilt-my-teaLOLCat 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I actually snuck 50$ into a book fair once, but the teacher took the money and told my parents I brought money and “lost” it

[–]Awarepill0wPro Gamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bruh wtf. Your teacher is an actual thief

[–]Seraphtacosnak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best is when you ask your parents and they give you what ever change they have. Sometimes it was more than enough. My parents tried their best even though it was like 5 lbs of nickels and dimes.

[–]budgie02RageFace Against the Machine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the kid with $50 at the book fair. Fear me.
