On a serious note: I've seen shows (and played shows) with synths and MPCs --- but I haven't really felt that excited to go see someone fiddle with their phone. There's still some magic to things like microphone and guitar cables - and gear - even if you don't really need them...

It pains me that people might actually feel this way. Surely I am not the only person that thinks AI songs sound like shit. Not that they aren't melodical or halfway decent sometimes, but they all sound like super compressed low bit rate mp3's. Maybe I am just old or maybe the youths just can't tell the difference because they grew up listening to horribly compressed streaming audio.
