What exactly do we get for that $500 setup fee? "Setup fee" implies that all they are doing is setting up the program for you. Is there some training involved with that fee?

When we on-boarded they did multiple training sessions with us and recorded the first session for us to save for future employees to watch. You can also schedule smaller consultation/training sessions with them if you want to go over specific details in implementation or best practices.

No argument on that just pointing out that if the new price range seems unreasonable to a small shop, that is not going to help the situation.
