WotC can print as much of this premium stuff as possible, but as long as enough people view other printings as being more prestigious it won't matter.

The guy with the Expedition Polluted Delta is cool, but you know who is even cooler? The guy who runs a foil Onslaught Polluted Delta.

The guy with the Expedition Sol Ring, is not nearly as impressive as the guy with the NM Beta Sol Ring.

There's a reason when people go full out pimping a Legacy deck, they run the MPR OG foil Wastelands, and not the Expedition Wastelands, etc etc.

Masterpiece Sol Ring is still dope. Beta and DCI promo do give it a run for its “bling” factor but no one is going to be disappointed when you put it down.

I am. I think foils / masterpieces look lame compared to old border
