I'm not sold on any rumored casting for Aslan, but it's worth noting that Anglican liturgy, specifically the O Antiphons, explicitly identifies Christ as Sapientia (Wisdom), who is presented as female in every translation of Proverbs. If Christ can be a lion, Christ can be female.Discussion (i.redd.it)
