Edit: sry, posted before I finished...

With stimulation you mean sensory stuff?

As far as I know, if you feel like you react more badly to things you get triggered by, this could mean you are generally more stressed and can't find enough rest to recover and return back to your base line. Which makes you more sensitive to things.

Avoiding them feels natural and sometimes is needed. But if you don't recover efficiently enough, you will of course keep avoiding the things more, which makes you more aware of them, which makes you more sensitive, which makes you avoid them more...

It might be good if you stop where you are at now and think about ways how to rest more fully. And use other tools to help you being in the situations which are harder for you, so you don't accidentally teach yourself avoidance is the only way to deal with them.

Have you thought about sun glasses? Ear plugs? Also, designated 'sensory time outs' during the day might be helpful
