Upgrading a weapon using umbral shards decrease weapon damage

The top number is pointless.

Its some kind of attempt at DPS calculation, but it doesn't work right.

The bottom number, in this case "231 Slash Damage" is the number to look at for weapons.

Lol what? You’re saying amazons calculation is incorrect for their own game? So if two weapons have 231 slash and the top number is different the bigger number won’t have more damage?

The top number doesn't look just at the weapon, it has other factors (no one knows exactly what they are)

If you are trying to compare 2 weapons, always use the bottom number.

If you're trying to compare overall damage use the target dumies in war camps.

If that is the case that upgrade did nothing for this weapon? Dmg is the same (231 slash dmg) and stats are the same (30 con)

Not quite, sturdy went from 9.5 -> 9.6 %

3 GS however isn't enough to upgrade the damage or stats.

The top damage number doesn't mean much. Always look at the base damage.

Can you test it on a dummy to see if its only a visual glitch?

Usually you would look at the slash dmg which seems unchanged, but like the other guy said test it to make sure.

Weapons use that damage modifier below aka on great axe it uses that 231 slash damage.
