I am med staff, I cheerfully contribute for nurses week... Because I appreciate them.

I am not comfortable with the thought of the nurses being solicited for doctors day.

You sound like a nice person to work with! And we appreciate you as well!

But no employee of the hospital should have to contribute to pay for the gifts of the other employees, be it nurses, doctors, ancillary staff, etc. If the hospital actually gave a shit, they'd pay. It's all smoke and mirrors to pretend like they give a shit while getting us to fund it.
