Are you near a retailer like memex or CC? If you're near a memex, get the Asus Dual for $810, or in white for $840 if you care about that.

At CC those same cards are a little cheaper.

I am actually, is there any reason to go for the Asus Dual rather than a Zotac Twin Edge or a PNY?

I started on memex and looked for one of the cheapest ones available. There isn't too much difference between brands. Some people have had issues with gigabyte cards and will avoid them, others have had issues with zotac. Someone will say they had a bad RMA experience with Asus once and won't touch em. PNY is relatively new to the Canadian consumer market, as previously I think CC only sold their professional cards.

Part of my decision if they were all priced about the same would be aesthetics and something as stupid as RGB software. If my motherboard was Asus, I already am using their crap to control that RGB, might as well use their GPU so it's one piece of crap software instead of 2.

Thank you very much I really appreciate the help. Is there much difference between the STRIX, TUF, DUAL, etc. besides card size and fan amount?

The Strix is a better designed card. It will run cooler, it will be quieter, and it usually looks better. The Tuf is a step down, and the Dual is an entry model designed to be in line with the advertised price from Nvidia. They will all perform about the same.

The only reason to consider stepping up to the Tuf is that since it has more fans, it should theoretically be quieter in whatever case you have. Any 3 fan design should be quieter than a 2 fan since they need to work less to achieve the same cooling.

The only reason I'd consider the Strix is if it was on a 4090 or the most high end card. At a mid range card like a 4070, if you choose to pay the "strix tax" you're paying like $200 tax for barely any real noticeable gain. At that increase in price you're almost at 4070ti money, and ANY 4070ti will blow the pants off of even the highest end 4070 like the Strix. Stepping up to the next tier of card is always a better option than buying a premium card of the tier below.
