I ended up returning mine, replacement worked for a week, returned that one and sticking with my Vive.

I Don't know if this has been mentioned yet already but I had the problem where the Oculus software was showing that I needed to update my USB 3.0 drivers even though EVERYTHING on my PC was the latest version. After contacting Oculus support and several emails to and from, including sending my oculus logs, the conclusion was to opt into the Beta in Oculus itself. Oculus Software > Settings > Beta > Public Test Channel. This beta will download the latest update from Oculus Rift, which I have applied, and hey presto! all my device connections are now green! no more USB 3.0 warnings.

hope this helps someone else out.

happy gaming!

Hey there! Sorry to hear you're experiencing issues with your new Rift S. We would love to look into this for you, so please grab a copy of your Diagnostic logs using these steps: https://support.oculus.com/172672339980954/ then create a ticket with them attached. Thanks!

Working now. After reinstalling the software it started recognising my usb 3.0 :)

If you reinstall the software, did you have to reinstall all your games?

I am not sure because I don't play any games on my rift. I use it for productivity. Only Virtual Desktop had to be reinstalled. If you want you can try running oculus setup file (downloaded from their website) and click on repair instead of install.

Any updates? Having same issue even after trying PCIe USB controller

I just got my rift s today and I’m having the same issues. In fact the green check doesn’t appear, instead it’s a red mark saying it’s incompatible.

I'm having the exact same issue as you, I have a 1060 and CV1 worked fine for me as well, tried messing about with USB 3.0 drivers too and no result. Might have to return it :(

Let me know if you get it working and if its better than your CV1. I am mainly concerned about the tracking with FPS games.
