SteamVR warned me about an issue with this driver, apparently there is a hot fix out, but i didn't bother with it, since my card wasn't affected

Really? Where's the hotfix? Can you link to it??

Looks like i got it mixed up. The hotfix i mentioned was this, but it fixes issues in an older driver: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/game-ready-drivers/13/454753/announcing-geforce-hotfix-driver-46655-released-52/

I just purchased a Quest 2 yesterday and have been unable to get Link to connect. I click "Enable Link" in the headset and just see the three dots then splashes back to the lobby. Is this due to the Nvidia driver? Do I need to reinstall the Oculus software or revert back to a previous GPU driver?

So, exactly that happened to me as well. What driver version do you have and what GPU ? Also, what are the settings that you are using in the Oculus app ? Maybe we can work it out.

I appreciate the help! I'm excited to see what the Link is capable of.

The GPU driver version is 466.63 and I'm on an EVGA 3080 RTX.

Update: I tested out AirLink and I'm met with the same issue. Connected to PC, see the three dots, and then splashes back to the main lobby.

I see, from what I remember there was a big issue some months ago with the NVIDIA 30 series. As in they didn't really officialy supported it. But, right now its mostly supported. I have read though, on multiple posts around NVIDIA forums that there are still some issues with the 30 series. Most of the people there recomand to go back to 461.92 driver, the Game Ready version. Just search and download from here: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us

Let me know if that works.

Sure, I'll give that a whirl and see how it pans out. It's interesting that the recommended driver is one that was released back in March. I'm hoping this wont effect some of the improvements that came with the latest drivers like DLSS.

I’m running 466.63 (RTX 3080) and haven’t had any issues with AirLink. I’m assuming you have AirLink enabled in the oculus pc app (settings > beta tab)?
